The North East Leadership Academy (NELA) have commissioned a three day programme for 45 patient/citizen leaders commencing October 2017. There will be three cohorts of 15 people which will be held in various locations across the North East.
The patient/citizen leaders programme is fully funded and will support patient leaders/emerging patient leaders to be effective and influential during participation and decision making about health and care services. The programme aims to enhance participants understanding of leadership behaviours, knowledge and skills and provide an opportunity for networking and share good practice. The programme will ideally equip the participants to be credible and effective leaders and who will champion and lead engagement in change/service improvement in their communities.
